Erik is truly a hidden gem when it comes to home inspections. He’s like the best of all generations rolled into one: tech-savvy like a millennial, deeply knowledgeable like a boomer, and patient with great attention to detail like Gen X. What really stood out to us was how thorough he was—especially with vintage homes. He took his time, walked us through every room, opened every window, and explained everything he noticed. During the inspection, he took the time to find issues that were not evident. He helped us find what we needed to know. And proceed with the purchase of the best of terms for us. I truly cannot say enough about the professionalism and quality of Rooney Home Inspections. Purchasing a very old farm house is a dream come true but very scary as well. Navigating through my home Inspection report will help me to prioritize repair work by levels as well as photos, diagrams and understandable written details and findings so I'm aware of absolutely everything. I now feel such peace, knowing my "new" home may be a forever project and needs a great deal of work, on all levels, but I feel like I have a written plan making it easy for me to tackle and consult with the recommended contractors for the needed repairs. Erik did an extremely thorough inspection of the house I was under contract for, and found things I wouldn't have imagined. He is knowledgeable in what to look for, along with providing feedback on what would be a an immediate problem to address vs something that I could just watch out for as the home buyer. I truly cannot say enough about the professionalism and quality of Rooney Home Inspections. Purchasing a very old farm house is a dream come true but very scary as well.
